Jakob Haselhuber can be described as a German diplomat who was born on March 19, 1960. He has been serving as the ambassador of Germany to Liberia since August 2021. In terms of education, Jakob Haselhuber is known to have studied Romance languages and International Law.
He received a Master’s degree in June 1989 after completing his studies in Zurich. While in school, he served as an interpreter and translator and continued working as a freelancer for a German publishing house till April 1991. It must be noted that between October 1989 and March 1990, he underwent and completed an internship at the European Commission in Brussels.
Jakob Haselhuber attended the University of Duisburg-Essen where he received a doctorate in 2012.

Beginning from 2006, Jakob Haselhuber served at the Foreign Office as head of the European Affairs unit and subsequently as deputy head of the Department for Combating Terrorism, Drugs and Organized Crime between 2007 and 2010.
