Marie Jacquot was born in Paris, France and she is a conductor. Over the years, she has worked her way into the forefront of exciting young conductors through consistent musical work, her interest in exploring a wide-ranging repertoire as well as her ability to show off her talents and skills with top-class orchestras.
Marie Jacquot made her debut in 2018 with DSO Berlin and has also performed at Bregenz Festival, as well as at Vienna’s Musikverein and Konzerthaus.
It must be noted that from 2023/24 on, Marie Jacquot will be Principal Guest Conductor of the Wiener Symphoniker and she would also become the Principal Conductor of the Royal Danish Theatre Copenhagen effective August 2024.
She started off 2022 /23 season at the Opéra National du Rhin Strasbourg during the world premiers o ‘Until The Lions’ by Thierry Pécou and she also had her debut with the Symphony Orchestras of Bavarian Radio Munich, WDR Cologne and HR Frankfurt, as well as the Staatskapelle Dresden.
Marie Jacquot also conducted the premiere of Prokofiev‘s ‘Love of the three oranges’ as well as the premiere of Mozart‘s ‘Le nozze di Figaro’ at the Flemish Opera in Antwerpen/Ghent.
She served as an assistant to Kirill Petrenko at the Bavarian State Opera for the world premiere of Miroslav Srnka’s “South Pole” (directed by Hans Neuenfels) in 2016 and subsequently, she got an invitation to conduct two world premieres at the 2016 and 2018 Munich Opera Festival.
Marie Jacquot was confirmed as the 1st Kapellmeister and Deputy General Music Director in Würzburg between 2016 and 2019.
