Hugh Grant’s Children: Full Details

Hugh Grant can be described as an English actor. He was born on September 9, 1960, and so far as acting is concerned, it is known that he established himself as a charming and vulnerable romantic leading man, even though with time, he turned out to become a more dramatic character actor.

Hugh Grant was born to Fynvola Susan MacLean and Captain James Murray Grant. Hugh Grant’s father was an officer in the Seaforth Highlanders for eight years in Malaya and Germany. He was also in charge of a carpet firm. Concerning education, Hugh Grant attended Hogarth Primary School in Chiswick and St Peter’s Primary School in Hammersmith, Wetherby School, an independent preparatory school in Notting Hill.

It must be noted that between 1969 and 1978, Hugh Grant was a student in  Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith. He won a Galsworthy scholarship to New College, Oxford in 1979 and he studied English literature. He was a member of the  Oxford University Dramatic Society and was Fabian in a production of Twelfth Night. He was also part of the cast of  Privileged (1982), produced by the Oxford University Film Foundation.

Hugh Grant has over the years, been able to win a lot of awards which include a British Academy Film Award, a Golden Globe Award, and an Honorary César and it is fascinating to note that films have grossed a total of nearly US$3 billion worldwide as of 2018. Hugh Grant was listed by Time Out magazine in 2022 as one of Britain’s 50 greatest actors of all time.

Some of the films to the credit of Hugh Grant include Maurice (1987), The Remains of the Day (1993), Sense and Sensibility (1995), Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994), Notting Hill (1999), Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001) and its 2004 sequel, About a Boy (2002), Two Weeks Notice (2002), Love Actually (2003), and Music and Lyrics (2007). He won the Volpi Cup for Best Actor with Maurice (1987) and also won the Golden Globe and BAFTA Award for Best Actor with Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994).

Other films to the credit of Hugh Grant include the science fiction film Cloud Atlas (2012),  Florence Foster Jenkins (2016), Paddington 2 (2017), The Gentlemen (2019), Wonka (2023),  BBC miniseries A Very English Scandal (2018) and the HBO miniseries The Undoing (2020).

Hugh Grant was initially involved with actress Elizabeth Hurley and they had a son called Damian, born in 2002. Hugh Grant also had a daughter with Tinglan Hong. The name of his daughter is Jing Xi. He had a son with Swedish television producer Anna Eberstein and a son with Tinglan Hong once again. Hugh Grant is currently married to producer Anna Eberstein and they have been married since May 25, 2018.
