Hilde Volk Cause of Death: Full Details

Hilde Volk was an Austrian theater and film actress. She was also a radio play speaker who was born on September 17, 1912, in Vienna. At the Salzburg City Theater, Hilde Volk made her stage debut and that was in 1933.

She stayed at the Salzburg City Theater for a year. She was later engaged at the Raimund Theater in Vienna between 1933 and 1936. Hilde Volk relocated to Berlin where she had the chance to play on different stages.

She played at the Renaissance Theater Berlin, Deutsches Theater and at the Berliner Kammerspiele. Her theatre engagements were normally in Hamburg and Berlin after the Second World War. She played at the Schlosspark Theater under Boleslaw Barlog and at the Hebbel Theater in Berlin under Karlheinz Martin.

This was in the 1945/45 and 1946/47 seasons. She was at the Renaissance theater from the 1946/47 season and specifically in April 1947, she made her debut in The Song of the Dove by John van Druten.

She played a role in the play Jean von Ladislaus Bus-Fekete and in the comedy Berlin in Mitten im Leben directed by Viktor de Kowa.

This was at Grandstand in the 1949/50 season. She was also at the Freie Volksbuhne Berlin and was part of plays by Erich Kastner, Hugo von Hofmannsthal, Arthur Schnitzier and Ferdinand Raimund. She also worked with other directors.

It must be noted that Hilde Volk also played at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg until 1949. She made an appearance at the Deutsches Theater Gottingen in the 1954/55 season where she played the role of Antoinette Hechingen in Heinz Hilpert’s production of The Difficult.

She was hired by the theaters of the city of Cologne in 1961. Hilde Volk was also at various theaters in Berlin.

She was married to actor Erik Ode. They were married from 1942 till he died in 1983. Hilde Volk also served as a speaker in many radio plays.

She was the female lead in the RIAS production DER kleine Grenzverkehr by Erich Kastner from 1949. She also played roles in Benjamin Blumchen and Bibi Blocksberg.
