Who Is Herbert Reul?

Herbert Reul is a well known German politician born on August 31, 1952 in Langenfeld, Rhineland to German parents. He was born into a Catholic home and was raised to become a Roman Catholic.

His father was a mayor hence Reul was born more or less with politics running through his veins. His father was one of his early inspirations and gradually started doing politics too.

By the time he was18, Reul became an active youth member of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU) and has been with them since then.

He was very passionate about his ideas and always availed himself to represent his people whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Reul obtained his high school diploma in 1972 and went on to study social sciences and educational science from 1972 to 1979 at the University of Cologne. From there, he trained at the Marienschule in Leverkusen/Opladen.

He served as town councilor of Leichlingen for 17 years, beginning from 1975 while he was studying at the University of Cologne. After the University, he worked for four years as a high school teacher at the municipal high school in Wermelskirchen from 1981 to 1985.

He then decided to abandon the classroom and contested and won the 1985 state elections where he was elected to represent the people of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Reul has also served as a Member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2017. He is currently the State Minister for Internal Affairs since 2017, serving under Minister-President Armin Laschet from 2017 to 2021 and under Minister-President Hendrik Wüst since 2021.

Has Herbert Reul Had A Stroke? 

Incumbent Minister of the Interior of North Rhine-Westphalia, Herbert Reul appears in good condition as of July 2023. There are no signs that the respected German politician currently has a stroke or suffered from stroke in the past.
