Veteran Italian-born Argentine actor, Guido Gorgatti has died on May 11, 2023 at the age of 103. Despite his old age, his death has been a painful one for the entertainment world to take, especially in Argentina, his home country where he died in Buenos Aires.

Who Was Guido Gorgatti?
Guido Gorgatti was a veteran Argentine actor born in Italy on December 5, 1919 in Rovigo, Veneto, Italy. However, by the time he was 10 years of age, Gorgatti emigrated to his home country with his family where he went on to establish himself as an actor and becoming the longest-serving member of the Argentine Association of Actors and Actresses.
Born into a poor family, Gorgatti was very determined to succeed in order to change the story of his family. He once recalled how he saw his father cry simply because he didn’t have money for the family. A determined young Gorgatti then began to take steps that helped make him become who he became before he died.
He developed love for acting/comedy and by the time he was 12 joined the Lavardén Children’s Theater. At the time he joined the Lavardén Children’s Theater, Gorgatti initially told his teacher, Alphonsina Storni that he wanted to be a comedian. Not long after, he was invited to do a monologue on Municipal Radio which was the beginning of his time on radio
By 1932, he became a part of the Marylin Gang and participated in a number of cycles like “Police Roundup,” “La Familia de Pancha Rolón,” “Adventures of Carlos Norton,” etc. He then made his film debut in 1950 in “Una noche en El Relámpago” and since then went on to appear in over thirty films, including “Crime of Corruption,” “The Adventures of Tremendous,” “Live with Joy”, etc.
Away from films, Gorgatti also performed in a number of theatre productions. They include Mrs. Bluebeard, Will my husband be a virgin, scoundrel but nice, etc.
Guido Gorgatti Cause of Death
Veteran Italian-born Argentine actor, Guido Gorgatti died on May 11, 2023 in Buenos Aires, Argentina at the age of 103. His death was announced by the Argentine Association of Actors and Actresses in an official statement that was released in the early hours of Thursday, May 11.
“It is with great sadness that we bid farewell to our longest-serving member, the actor Guido Gorgatti, who died at the age of 103. His career includes work in theatre, film, television, commercials and radio, distinguishing himself as a comedian and humorist. Our condolences to his loved ones.” the statement reads.
Unfortunately, the actual cause of death of the veteran actor has not been made public. However, from the look of things, it is very likely that he may have died of natural causes considering his age.
