Gertrud Baumer was a German politician who was born on March 25, 1954. She was actively involved in the German civil rights Feminist Movement. Apart from the fact that Gertrud Baumer was a politician, she was also a writer and has written for Friedrich Naumann’s paper Die Hilfe.

It must be noted that he lived and worked with Helene Lange, who was also a German feminist and politician. With respect to education, Gertrud Baumer studied in Berlin and subsequently had her Ph.D in 1905.

Between 1901 and 1906, she served as the editor of the Handbook of the Women’s Movement. She also managed the Social Pedagogical Institute together with Marie Braun from 1916 to 1920. She was known to be a member of the Bund Deutscher Frauenvereine( Federation of German Women’s Association).

Between 1919 and 1932, Gertrud Baumer was a Reichstag member when she joined the German Democratic Party. She also served as a delegate for youth politics at the League of Nations in Geneva.
