FDA alerts public against counterfeit anti-malarial drug

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has brought to the notice of the public and health sectors the presence of fake malaria drugs. These fake drugs do not contain two important medical ingredients stated on the label.The Food and Drugs Authority made this information available to the public in a press release on their social media pages. 

Some of these drugs have been found in the Northern region and medically tested to prove this claim.

The drugs with batch number:7225119, Manufacturing date: march 2021, expiry date February 2024, Manufacturer: Strides Arcolab limited and NAFDAC registration A4-6700 if seen should be avoided and immediately reported to the FDA.
