Fabio Volo, pseudonym of Fabio Bonetti, is a multi-talented individual who has made significant contributions in various fields including writing, acting, presenting, screenwriting, drumming, singing, and philosophy.
Volo began his career as a significant character at Radio Capital, an Italian radio station, on June 23, 1972, in Calcinate, Italy. He then went on to host three episodes of the popular TV show Le Iene.
Volo debuted his own radio show named “Il volo del mattino” on Radio Deejay in 2000. That same year, he released his debut book, “Esco a fare due passi.”
This was followed by a string of successful novels, including “una vita che ti aspetto,” “Un posto nel mondo,” “Il giorno in più,” “Il tempo che vorrei,” “Le prime luci del mattino,” and “La strada verso casa.” His works have sold over 5 million copies in Italy alone, solidifying his place as a best-selling author.
Volo, who excelled in the literary realm, also dabbled with acting. He made his acting debut in Alessandro D’Alatri’s film “Casomai” in 2002. He was nominated for Best Actor at the prestigious David di Donatello awards for his role in the film.
Volo continued to perform in films such as “One Out of Two,” “Manual of Love 2,” and “Studio Illegale.” He has also provided voice work for several animated films, most notably as the Italian voice of Po in the Kung Fu Panda film series.
