Entry Requirements For Community Health Nursing in Ghana

In this post, I am going to take you through the entry requirements for Community Health Nursing in Ghana.

In a community context, community health nursing, also known as public health nursing or community nursing, integrates primary healthcare with nursing practice. Community health nurses serve communities or populations by providing health services, preventative care, intervention, and health education.

Public health nursing is the profession of promoting and safeguarding the health of populations utilizing information from nursing, social, and public health sciences.

A Community Health Nurse is a registered nurse (RN) that specializes in improving the health of babies, children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. One of the most important responsibilities of a community health nurse is to detect community health concerns and give health care to individuals who may not have access to or afford medical services.

Individuals and communities’ health, safety, and quality of life issues are addressed by CHNs through intervention plans. They may also discover health issues that affect a particular group, perform community evaluations to detect possible issues, and plan or administer health education initiatives.
