Cristina Ciobănașu is a Romanian actress, singer, dancer, and poly-instrumentalist who has gained national and international recognition for her talent and versatile abilities.
Cristina was born in Vorona, Botoşani, on September 24, 1996. She rose to fame in Romania as “Anca Anghel” in the hit musical series Bet with Your Life, which was produced by Ruxandra Ion and shown on the Pro TV channel.
Cristina, popularly known by her stage name Criss, is a founding member of the bands ONE and Lala Band, both of which play pop-rock dance music.
Growing up in the small village of Vorona Mare with her younger brother and paternal grandmother, she started her career in the entertainment sector throughout her childhood and early adolescence.
Cristina’s grandmother introduced her to the world of art and taught her the mysteries of numerous musical instruments, including the violin, nai, whistle, caval and ocarina, despite the low living conditions of their one-room house without basic conveniences like a bathroom or kitchen.
