What It Is
Usually eaten cold with milk and occasionally sugar, corn flakes are a commercial cereal made from tiny toasted corn flakes.
Cornflakes are usually orange-yellow in color, crunchy in texture, and softened by milk,
Since they were first produced, simple corn flakes have been flavored with salt, sugar, and malt.
Subsequent varieties with extra ingredients, like sugar-frosted corn flakes and honey & nut corn flakes, have also been produced.
Brief History about Corn Flakes
Will and John Kellogg accidentally created corn flakes out of stale wheat.
They used it to make the dough, which they then forced through a roller, producing broken flakes as a consequence.
At the Seventh Day Adventist facility where they had previously worked, this was then toasted and provided to patients.
The two brothers kept creating it until it was perfect because the patients liked it.
Then, as it gradually gained popularity in the market, numerous brands began to produce it as well.
Nutritional Value of Corn flakes
In addition to its buttery, salty flavor, corn flakes are a wonderful source of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients.
0.858 mg of vitamin B2, 0.667 mg of vitamin B1, 4.39 mg of iron, 27.85 g of carbohydrates, 0.198 mg of vitamin B6, 211 mg of sodium, 1.584 mg of vitamin B3, 20 g of vitamin B9, 2.48 g of protein, 29 mg of phosphorus, and 13 mg of magnesium are all present in 33 gram of corn flakes.
