Classes of Drivers License in Ghana

Almost everyone wants to own a car or two some day. Though we are not there yet, we have listed the names of cars we want to own and how many we want.

For safety sake we have rules and regulations, procedures to go through in getting your car on the roads of Ghana to drive.

There are age restrictions to people who can drive a car in Ghana; from 16 and above. And even with this, there are particular cars one can and cannot drive.

Aside the age restrictions, a number way to drive your car in peace is to have a license from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority.

We’ll look at it all in this post.

Again before one can drive in peace without getting into trouble, especially with the traffic officers, one needs to take the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) text.

Passing this exams gives you much freedom and peace to drive on the streets of Ghana.

Alright, let’s take a look at the various Licence class.

Every type of car or vehicle and its driving license class. And again don’t forget that there are minimum age restrictions for every type of vehicle too.

Now to the licence class;

Or

Combination of vehicles comprising a vehicle in category C, a trailer of at least 4 metres in length, Combining a maximum authorized mass of 18 tonnes and overall length of at least 11 metres.

 So here are the drivers licence classes that we have.

There are people who would want to add another licence class their driving license.

If you are that person, then make sure that vehicle your vehicle meets the laid down specifications even before you take the test on it.

    Please where did you get your prices I just arrived from the dvla bekwai branch , when I went to do my new drivers license, I was told standard is Ghc1,200 and Premium is Ghc1,300 so I came back
