Chris-Carol Bremer is a former German swimmer who was born on January 5 , 1971, in Hanover. He can be said to be one of the world’s best athletes so far as the butterfly swimming style in the 1990s was concerned.
However, his special focus was on the 200 meters. The swimming career of Chris-Carol Bremer started in Seelze at the SSG Nord-Calenberg and he was there until 1995. He participated at the 1994 World Championships and was among the best three.
He is said to have won a gold medal at the European Short Course Championships. He was also the spokesman for the German Swimming Association. Chris-Carol Bremer placed 9th in the 200-meter butterfly during the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona and subsequently won the Swimming World Cup after he had moved to SG Hamburg.
He also won the bronze medal at the Short Course World Championships in 1993 and 1995. He served as the spokesman for the German swimming team prior to the Summer Olympics in 1996 in Atlanta.
Due to ill-health, he placed 16th in the 200-meter butterfly. He did not compete at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. He was however the captain of the German Olympic swimming team.
Chris-Carol Bremer’s father was a former former track and field athlete. He served as a sports soldier at the Bundeswehr Sports School between 1990 and 1992 but subsequently pursued a two-year course in physiology at Michigan State University (MSU) in East Lansing on the basis of an athletes’ scholarship.
