According to Akua Donkor, whites are still colonizing Ghana as it is evident of the depreciative rate of the Ghanaian cedis.
The Ghana Freedom Party’s leader and founder is therefore blaming the current economic hurdles Ghana is facing on the exportation of the country’s raw materials and importing them into the country as refined products.
Akua Donkor has while speaking to Sefah- Danquah in an interview on Happy FM has disclosed measures she will put in place to curb the cedis depreciation rate when she becomes president. According to her, Ghana shall not export raw materials to foreign countries when she comes into power.
“When I am voted President of Ghana I will make sure crude oil is refined here in Ghana and make sure we don’t import any. This way the cost of refined products (petroleum products) will be cheap. I will make sure everything in the country is cheap and improve the standard of living by ensuring there is a free port. I will also make sure no natural resources and mineral resources leave the country unrefined.”
I will no more allow for them to take us for granted. I will not take any loans from them and I will use the money we have here. I will make sure to use our natural resources to take care of the people of Ghana. I am going to lead Ghana into growth and development when I come to power,” she confidently declared.
She also added that she has sent away some Ghanaian indigenes outside to learn crude oil refinery and it would be evident in years to come.
