Carsten Linnemann can be described as a German politician ( CDU ). Carsten Linnemann was born on August 10, 1977, in Paderborn and he has been the General Secretary of the CDU since July 12, 2023.
It must also be noted that Carsten Linnemann has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2009. He was also the deputy chairman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group between 2018 and 2022. Carsten Linnemann also plays a key role as a member of the CDU’s federal executive board.
He has been a member since 2013 and in 2022, he became became deputy federal chairman. He is also the chairman of his party’s policy program committee.
The parents of Carsten Linnemann were booksellers. Concerning education, Carsten Linnemann had his general university entrance qualification at the Reismann-Gymnasium in Paderborn.
He went through ten months of basic military service in Augustdorf and in 1998, he became a corporal. For just a year, Carsten Linnemann worked in his parent’s bookstore. He became a student at the University of Applied Sciences in Paderborn studying business administration. He successfully completed in 2002 and furthered his education at the Chemnitz University of Technology between 2002 and 2006.
He earned his doctorate in economics after completion. Based on his dissertation, Carsten Linnemann became one of the four winners of the young talent competition organized by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research on the topic of “Export of Services”.
He worked as an economist at the Deutsche Bank Research in Frankfurt for a year and he was an assistant to Norbert Walter. Norbert Walter was then chief economist at Deutsche Bank. Carsten Linnemann found his way to Deutsche Industriebank (IKB) in Düsseldorf in 2007 where he worked as an economist in the areas of the economy and medium-sized businesses. Carsten Linnemann has vast experience in politics and over the years, he has occupied very important positions.
