During her early schooling, Camilla attended Queen’s Gate School and Dumbrells, two coeducational institutions. She was known by her peers as “Milla” and graduated from Queen’s Gate in 1964 with one O-level. After that, she studied French literature at the University of London Institute in Paris and attended the Mon Fertile finishing school in Tolochenaz, Switzerland.
Her post-school years were spent living in Kensington and Belgravia and working as a secretary and receptionist. Her hobbies went beyond her career; she loved to ride, paint (albeit a lot of her paintings were thrown away), fish, and tend to horticulture and gardens.
