Bon Scott Cause of Death: Full Details

Bon Scott was born on July 9, 1946, and he was an Australian singer and songwriter. He was a member of the hard rock band AC/DC from 1974 and he was the lead vocalist.

Bon Scott was born in  Forfar in Angus, Scotland but he spent his childhood days in Kirriemuir. Late on in 1952, he relocated to Australia with his family when he was just 6 years old.

His family stayed in Melbourne for four years before settling in Fremantle, Western Australia. Bon Scott was quite instrumental with the hard rock band AC/DC and he performed on the band’s first seven albums.

The albums were High Voltage (1975, Australian only release), T.N.T. (1975, Australian only release), High Voltage (1976, first international release), Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (1976, not released until 1981 in the United States), Let There Be Rock (1977), Powerage (1978), Highway to Hell (1979).

Bon Scott formed the band called the Spektors, in 1964. He was the drummer and lead vocalist of the band but it must be noted that he also worked with bands such as the Valentines and Fraternity.

When Bon Scott was a member of the hard rock band AC/DC, their 1979 album Highway to Hell, chalked some success. It reached The Top 20 in the United States of America.

Bon Scott Cause of Death

Bon Scott was reported to have died between the late evening of February 18,19980 and the early morning of February 19, 1980, after passing out.

He was 33 years old at the time of his death. Bon Scott had then visited a London club then called the Music Machine and per vailbale reports, he was left to sleep in a Renault 5 owned by his friend Alistair Kinnear, at 67 Overhill Road in East Dulwich.

Later on, he was found lifeless and such as the state authorities were alerted. Bon Scott was unfortunately pronounced dead on arrival when he was rushed to King’s College Hospital in Camberwell.

He was believed to have died of “acute alcohol poisoning”.

Marriage and Alleged Children

When Bon Scott was with the Fraternity band, he met Irene Thornton, from Adelaide. Bon Scott and Irene Thornton got married in 1972 but they separated after two years.

They finally divorced in 1977. There are reports that he may be having children with two other women.
