Boleslaw Barlog was born on March 28, 1906, in Breslau. Barlog’s father was a Breslau lawyer, and he fostered his love of theater during his early years. After moving to Berlin with his family, Barlog followed his lifelong interest in the arts by enrolling in high school and starting an apprenticeship program for booksellers.
