Life and Career
Wolff started playing handball when he joined SG Ollheim/Straßfeld when he was five years old. He advanced through each of the junior teams and attained the C-youth division. Seeking new challenges, he spent the 2004–05 season at HSG Rheinbach-Wormersdorf, showcasing his commitment to developing his skills.
Wolff joined TV Kirchzell in 2007, advancing his career in handball. In the summer of 2019, Wolff made a major transfer to the dominant Polish team, KS Kielce. Interestingly, during his time on the squad, he was given the title of captain. His leadership and goalkeeping abilities helped Kielce win the Polish Cup in 2021 and the Polish PGNiG Superliga Mężczyzn from 2020 to 2023.
In a three-nation competition in Wągrowiec, Poland, goalkeeper Andreas Wolff made his debut for his country as a part of the German B squad against the Norwegian B side. In 2012, the German Handball Association began to include B team matches in its international statistics after becoming aware of his achievements.
In a friendly game in Tunis, Tunisia, on January 11, 2014, Wolff made his debut for the senior national team. Germany won the gold medal at the 2016 European Handball Championships after defeating Spain 24:17 in the championship match.
He was a major contributor to their victory. Interestingly, he was selected for the all-star squad of the competition. At the 2023 World Cup, Wolff led Germany to sixth place with some excellent goalkeeping.
