Andrea Bocelli is an Italian tenor who was born on September 22, 1958. It’s sad to note that Andrea Bocelli was born visually impaired. He was born with congenital glaucoma and became completely blind at the age of 12.
This came up due to a brain hemorrhage he suffered from a football accident. It must be noted that Andrea Bocelli had his first recording contract with Sugar Music Label and it was after he had performed in piano bars as well as competed in local singing competitions.
He became very famous in 1994 after he had won the Newcomer’s section of the 44th Sanremo Music Festival.
Andrea Bocelli is known to have recorded 15 solo albums since 1994.
These albums are made up of songs of pop and classical music as well as three greatest hits albums and nine complete operas. Over the years, he has sold over 75 million copies of his work across the world.
The album Romanza is considered one of the best-selling albums of all time and Sacred Arias has been tagged as the biggest-selling classical album by any solo artist in history.
Many of his songs were able to set records on the music scene.
Andrea Bocelli in 1998 was named one of People Magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People. He had a duet with Celine Dion on the song ‘The Prayer’ which won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song.
The song was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song. Andrea Bocelli has other nominations and awards to his credit.
In 2006 Andrea Bocelli was honoured as he was made a Grand Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. He was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on March 2, 2010, among other awards and honors.

The first wife of Andrea Bocelli was Enrica Cenzatti. Andrea Bocelli met Enrica while singing at piano bars. Andrea Bocelli and Enrica Cenzatti got married on June 27, 1992.
They had their first child on February 22, 1995, called Amos and the second child, Matteo was born on October 8, 1997. However, they separated in 2002.
Subsequently, Andrea Bocelli married two more times. He met Veronica Berti in 2002 and they had a daughter called Virginia on March 21, 2012. Andrea and Veronica got married on March 21, 2014.
