Andreas Ullmann, better known by his ring name Absolute Andy was born on September 22, 1983. , Absolute Andy was a German professional wrestler who etched his name in the annals of Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw) history. He passed away on November 23, 2023.

Early Life and Career

In 2003, Andreas Ullmann started his adventure in the world of professional wrestling. But it was in 2006 that he rose to prominence, going by the ring moniker Absolute Andy, and he soon established himself as a mainstay in the wXw promotion. Absolute Andy quickly gained the nickname “The Veteran” because to his powerful size, personality, and unmatched in-ring abilities.

Andy has had an enormous influence on wXw. Few people in the wrestling industry have ever accomplished the renowned title of Grand Slam Champion, which he held during his brilliant career. In addition to winning the 2018 16 Carat Gold tournament, he has also won five World Tag Team Championships, one Shotgun Championship, two Unified World Wrestling Championships, and one World Tag Team Championship.

Throughout his career, Absolute Andy showcased his versatility, excelling in both singles and tag team competitions. His partnerships with Josh Abercrombie, Steve Douglas, and Marius Al-Ani yielded multiple World Tag Team Championship victories. Together with Marius Al-Ani, he formed the formidable tag team A4, capturing the tag team gold at Broken Rules in April 2016.

Absolute Andy’s journey was not without its share of highs and lows. Engaging in feuds with the likes of John Klinger, Ilja Dragunov, and Bobby Gunns, he became a central figure in wXw’s storytelling. His 2019 feud with Ilja Dragunov led to him capturing the Unified World Wrestling Championship at Shortcut to the Top.

One of the notable contributions of Absolute Andy to wXw was his introduction of the “Schönes-Wochenende-Ticket” or the weekend discount ticket. Absolute Andy assumed the position of Director of Sports at wXw as his career in the ring developed.

As he guided the campaign through several themes and obstacles, his administrative prowess and artistic vision were apparent. His on-again, off-again feuds with Norman Harras gave the drama depth and riveting storylines for the audience.

At the 21st Anniversary Concert, Absolute Andy unexpectedly challenged Norman Harras back into the ring in a spectacular change of events. He quickly prevailed and became the first person to ever win the Shotgun Championship. His tenacity and will were on display during his last Back to the Roots defense against Dennis Dullnig.
